Julia Smith received a BA in Dance from Oberlin College, and has had a Yoga practice that spans over a decade. In this context of movement related study and practice, Julia spent many years studying mantra based mediation and began receiving and working with Craniosacral Therapies in 2004. After initial experience with the Upledger School, she connected with and became a student of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy or BCST. The Wellness Institute characterizes the work in this way: ‘BCST is the leading edge of evolution in craniosacral therapy. Craniosacral Biodynamics honors the origins of this work in osteopathic medicine, yet presents a unique specialty field with a deeper understanding of energy dynamics within craniosacral therapy.’ Julia seeks to address each of her clients in the unique expression of their well energy fields, to tap into the ever-present health in the system, and facilitate the continuous journey toward wholeness and well-being. Through the hands-on technique that is specific to BCST, and with guidance and discussion of this embodied transcendental practice, Julia offers clients a means to reconnect to the resource and wellspring of inherent health.
